Naming The Notes On The Fretboard Pt.1 – Beginner Guitar Lesson
Guitar question, help a colleague of mine =)?
Hey, I'm 15 and I am in a bit. I'm having a guitar lesson next year at school, but I'm stuck in the mud on what to do now. I figured I'd crack the acoustic, the electric fire for a while and get to master the basics, but I always tend to return to power. What techniques would you consider a beginner to learn (ie, hammer on / pull offs, bends, trills and all those technical terms). I know I have to work at all, but I'd love to start practicing bend or vibrato. Thanks for the input.
As I always say, practice, practice, practice! I know you get tired of hearing this but it's important. Try recording yourself, maybe making it part of the rhythm of a song. While playing back, the lead role, or vice versa. Good way to stay in "the groove. When you play the music back, you can try new things and see how they sound. Have fun and Play!
