Guitar - Beginner Guitar?
Can anyone recommend an electric guitar for a beginner player? I have read some articles online about this, but most of them do not recommend any particular model. I have no game experience, so this would be my first guitar. Please, not recommend an acoustic guitar. Although I can see myself playing one somewhere along the way, I think I learn more I will be able to play if an electric. Also, I really do not see myself spending over $ 400 on a complete set up (guitars, amps etc. ..) unless someone could justify it, so keep that in mind. If you can think of anything I might need to or if you have some good advice for beginners please include it. Thank you for your answers! PS If it helps, I first like rock, everything from Slipknot to Guns n 'Roses to Joe Satriani. My tastes are all over the board! Sorry, a recommendation Amps would be nice too! Thanks again!
To begin, Satch rocks! You will need a versatile guitar, perhaps one with both a humbucker and coil individual. It has to be playable and really, something that inspires you to play. Try an Ibanez or a beginning. Les Pauls are very heavy and uncomfortable for a beginning guitarist. Most start with a guitar sound, it is more difficult to learn about it, but it makes the hand stronger and faster. The amp is very good too.
