Crazy 6-string acoustic guitar tunings - that work! =)?
Yo, virtually all the values * you can drop off one or both of their strings E to D and have fun again, but what about the more esoteric ... What is your favorite? Please give them rope 6 to 1 - you know - Standard Tuning = EADGBE, therefore, a standard tuning D = DADF # AD (not really a crazy tuning, but one of my favorites - launches dadgad'ers for a loop!) ... wow ... there are little or no guitar here or alternate tuning is virtually unknown here! At least I have a funny answer. And this guy first - pity you're not on trial - I have no idea why he was forced to announce that for this question. I guess you are always better than Segovia was, and only Kottke knew he would be begging for pointers ... just to name a few that used alternate tunings.
BDDDDD That's the pitch is used in the song "Iris" from the Goo Goo Dolls. It's so ridiculous to change the setting to ... The B-String is in tune with the D, while the rest are set down. It really low and loose, but it actually sounds pretty cool.
