acoustic guitar strings order
What else should I buy with my first guitar?

I recently bought a Simon and Patrick Songsmith folk and wanted to know what else I needed to buy in order to maintain it properly and play. I already have a bunch of picks, and I'm planning to get a tuner or stay with what I have on my computer. Is there anything else I need to know / need? How often should I change the strings? are lighter gauge better if I'm more concerned with playing music soft / mellow music on my guitar? should i get my strings replaced by my local guitar shop or do it alone? What kind of cleaning materials that I need and how many times I need to do this? he has a Semi Gloss Varnish Burst Finish. I'm just starting to learn, but I bought a course learning to DVD (since I do not have time or money for lessons guitar track)

As with anything you purchase and intend to continue, you must have expenses in doing so. 1. If your tuner computer works then keep using it. Otherwise, buy a tuner to keep the case if you travel to play. 2. Medium gauge strings produce the best tonal distribution. Many guitarists use light strings and calibrated to bend away sore fingers. Try a game of light and medium gauges to see what best suits you. 3. Buy your strings in a local music store. Most reputable stores will install the chains at no charge. Ask if you can watch so you can learn to do the task. 4. While at the music store, buy a bottle of polish guitar and some soft cloths. Fender, Gibson, Martin and put out polishing quality. Typically, a soft cloth, is truly the best damp cloth to clean the stains of his guitar, follow up with a clean dry cloth. 5. If you stick your arm is to ask the guitar tech that you should do to keep you in shape. This requires quality oil fretboard and OOOO steel wool. Congratulations on your new purchase! I wish you success in learning the joy of playing guitar. If you are not considering professional lessons, get a copy of Beginning Hal Leonard's Guitar Method Book One Inside are instructions for tuning, care, basic chords and music theory with basic exercises. It is a great book for the beginner!
