acoustic guitar vocabulary
How hard is it to learn Lifehouse's "You and Me" on acoustic guitar?

Lifehouse is my favorite band, and where I hear the song "You and Me" I want to learn to play guitar. The strings (?) Seems to be very easy to play, but I was wondering if anyone can Approximate is difficult. Perhaps as one of 1-10, where 1 is any one can learn in one day and 5 is someone who is playing for a few years? (Keep in mind, I do not I know nothing about the vocabulary of guitar playing and never tried before.) Thanks to anyone with information / input, and if you can play the music that I'm jealous!

Well, let me see if I can really answer that. The chords of the song are open chords and a guitar player are considered easy. Then, on a scale of 1-10, the chords of the song would fall by about 2 or 3. Very simple chords known. In able to keep pace, strum correctly and make good sound, you'll have to put in some time. People say, "Oh, I can play music and be a little like the song, but the overall sound very amateur. You could probably get to the point where people recognize the song, but still not considered good for a real guitar player, at around 2-3 months of hard training. To play it like me ... Lifehouse say 2-3 years. There is much more to play the guitar, than just being able to play chords. Timing, Tone, and emphasizing the chords / music is the key to make it sound good, what are the things that take a lot of practice and experience. What is pure about the guitar, however, is when you get better, you can learn songs very quickly. I've been playing for about 7 years, and could learn just about any music, in a few minutes, and learn to perfect the song in a month if I practiced a lot. There is a big difference in learning to play music, and play the music perfectly. I always shoot for perfection.
