Bass Guitar Notes Fretboard
Am I going to have problems with this?
I played guitar for years and always struggled because I do not seem to be able to get my head around the theory music, or memorize the notes on the fretboard / scales etc. I've never been able to improvise so I'm trying to learn bass and I want to be really good about it, and try to learn properly with all the theory etc, but I'm going to have problems? Or someone can do it with enough practice? I want to be startling enough to play fast thrash metal, and slap bass like RHCP's!
Music theory is easy if you are taught the right way. I know I have taught for 20 years. Go to your local music store and ask them if they know any good teachers. They should be able to at least guide you in the right direction for the other problem of his guitar technique that I suggest you enroll in a course taught by an expert in impro.
