How would I connect my guitar to my laptop and record what I play? That all I need? ?
I have an Acer Aspire 5315-2153 laptop. Me too I have a Roland Cube 60 amp and a Boss ME-20 effects pedal. I can not describe my guitar, each piece is personalized and is an extremely high (the good kind of high) guitar.
There are a lot of boxes designed to do exactly what you want. Some, like the first link below, come with recording software, but for others it is simply download a free copy of Audacity. The second link is to a model that Behringer is just $ 30. Why you'll need the software Audacity and you can not plug the cable into the guitar directly so you need a power output audio mixer.
