Electric Guitar Building Books

You can play classical guitar without nails? I think as I often do it alone. Many guitarists today and in the past have also made the same. Let me tell you the advantages of no nails playing and give some tips!
Sharon Isbin in her Classical Guitar Answer Book wrote ...
Guitarists Classic can play without nails, but they should be aware that by doing so they are sacrificing certain possibilities of tone and projection - that affect the interpretation and musical performance. "
I played classical guitar and jazz improvisation and also blues guitar for many years and have been teaching others professionals. I've played with long nails, short nails and no nails at all.
I saw students struggling with his guitar tone on the guitar. Guitarists nail problem, guitarists not take care of your nails and then with a terrible tone and some guitarists with perfect nails and has a good tone because of faltering technique.
I have also met guitarists that were playing without nails and I've seen finger guitar playing without nails as Mark Knopfler and others.
As with almost everything, there are pros and cons to different approaches. I like to play without nails, for these reasons:
1. It is a challenge to find the tone and make the most guitar playing without nails. You have to play harder to find the upper harmonics and you have to work even more with the guitar technique. No negligence is allowed!
2. I like the sweet sound of my fingers touching the strings. The sound produced is soft, but the volume will still be satisfying to play with strength and calousses developed by the practitioner.
3. There is a special feeling involved in letting the flesh touching the strings of a guitar. You'll get closer to the instrument somehow.
4. Of course you have the advantage of not running the risk of nails have broken that you no longer depends on them.
5. You be able to play piano with the correct posture of the finger.
6. You can play guitar with the fingers without the risk of destroying your nails.
I will now give you some of my own advice and experience of playing without nails.
You can find some more information on the network since there are many other guitarists and lute players who want to play without nails. Here are my personal tips:
1. It will take a week or more to build calluses on your fingertips, after presented their nails. This will improve your guitar playing and tone, but until then you have to be careful not to play so intensely as to get blisters.
2. One way to build calluses is to play finger picking on guitar and steel guitar. I experienced that my blues guitar playing is much more musical and dynamic, as I play with my fingers instead of with a pick on my guitar. Sometimes I use to switch between the thumb and index finger while playing scales and licks and other times my finger and middle finger or another classical guitar playing way.
3. You will have a softer and in many ways a much more beautiful if you cultivate your playing without nails. However, you may lose some of the higher frequencies. To compensate for this you can see to it that you
always play with new strings again and if you're a rich man, you can buy a classical guitar with more acute and less severe.
4. When you use your nail sharpener (you should instead of just clipping the nails off!) to keep the nails short you might as well give your fingers some care with the nail grinder. This will improve your
tone and stimulate your finger tips to become more difficult.
5. As you exercise on your guitar you need to play slowly and with a little more strength to get a good tone. It is important that you do not build tension as you play. All musicians benefit from learning
techniques relaxation and stretching to prevent injuries.
6. Practice, especially playing apoyando (AVC) support with all fingers and hear the tone and try to improve it as part your game.
If you think that play completely without nails is difficult for you, maybe after this trial period to let them grow, but you can keep them much shorter than his technique has improved. They will work then, like the claws of a cat. Mostly not used but still affecting your tone and support your game. As with long nails you'll have to polish them and care for them.
There are many more things to say about playing guitar without nails but personally this technique gives me a touch I like challenge and an exciting and rewarding.
