electric guitar jack wiring
What is wrong with my guitar?

My cousin was playing with my Squier guitar yesterday and immediately noticed my guitar does not make any noise, connected to the amplifier. I have 3 sets of cables and another guitar and it works fine. What could the problem with my guitar? I had a problem with a loose wire the input jack before I welded back in. .. you think the input jack itself can be confusing? Another thing that worries me are the pickups. Amps can destroy them with the right settings? Will the real input jack be confusing up? ... How I would have to replace the whole thing? http://www.angela.com/catalog/connectors/InputJackNumberSevenBetter.gif

Guitar Pickups are good or not goood. You can not burn them or damage them, no matter what. When you solder the wires, make sure they do not touch when you screw it back in. Sometimes it can twist and this causes a short in the entry. solder it first and connect the cable before putting the entry in guitar. If it works, then mount it.
