How do you rewire a Les Paul guitar, which already has finish on it? "
I'm building a Les Paul style electric guitar from a kit. It has a white dial on it that I do not want it I want to know how you rewire a guitar without having to take a luthier?
Depends how it was done. If the finish is over the link, you have to remove the finish, then remove and replace the link. If you mean you would not link through, removing the link would be a bad idea, because it is difficult and you would get a large ridge that you would have to fill and if it has a see-through finish it will be very bad.
