Electric Guitar Through Bass Amp
Shows what I could do alone, without battery or low? ?
Hey, I play hard rock on the guitar and sing. I have a very good amp and guitar, but my Concerts question is can I do alone? Meaning I only, without battery or low. I work better alone and all my songs that I write very good when I play them using only guitar. I really want to go to a bar and play my music, then you think that can happen?
It is entirely possible. Happens all the time. You may have to really 'test' for the owners or managers of a bar in the first place. A lot of them like to make sure that you will be playing before turning it loose in the crowd. They know their clientel and if you will be well received or not. Make sure you have a wide variety of songs and styles. Not everyone likes only hard rock all the time. Being able to show that you have a wide range wil help you land other gigs too. Make sure you can handle criticism well. A lot of bar owners or managers have what some might call a "power trip". Not all, but be prepared to them to say no. That's his prerogative. Even if you're good. You may even have to accept some gigs for nothing or just drinks or food. At least until you can get your name around. Believe me, if you're any good the word will spread. You may want to consider investing in a small synthesizer, drum machine or something. This way, you can still have a drum and bass line with the song, but you are doing for yourself, as you say you prefer. I saw this in a lot of different small clubs. Good luck to you.
