Fender Guitar Neck Shapes
There is a difference between the neck stratocaster av neck and a 57 'stratocaster hot rod.?
I read here on musicians friend that the hot rod vintage costume has a slim-shaped V-profile. This is different from the traditional profile of the neck or v are the same? If anyone has played the two, then it would Good to know the difference between the contours of the neck. The standard V-neck is a little bigger. Personally, I have big fingers and find slim, short neck, uncomfortable. I build custom guitars (luthier) and all (maybe not all) of my neck is 1 7 / 8 inches wide at the nut, instead of 1 11/16. If your fingers are smaller, you might like neck thin.
