Guitar Attenuator

How to use an attenuator of a guitar amp!?
I just got a weber 50 mini-ycv40wr Traynor mass m, the site says that the office is impedance 8 ohms, but the minimum impedance is 4 ohms, then I put my attenuator configuration 8ohms or 4 ohms setting?
You could put the attenuator in any setting. Personally, I would run it at 8 ohms, it will have to dissipate less heat that way. With an 8 ohm load, your amplifier can probably produce about 20 watts. If you read the specifications closely, you see that can produce up to 40 watts in a 4 ohm load (if you added a closet in length). Good luck. Greetings from Austin, TX Ken
