1. Solder the input to the "edge" of a headset quarter inch diameter. Solder the "ring" of the monkey to the ground. Then you can connect an electric guitar directly to it. 2. Dc voltage applied to the collector means transistor (5 volts, the red wire from the battery or power supply in your case) 3. GND means earth. This is the black wire from the battery or power supply. 4. SV1 is any convenient outlet. I recommend replacing it with two connectors: a) a quarter inch jack to the audio, and b) a plug-in battery. Unless you buy the chip pre-programmed, you have to find a way to program it as well.
