I have a guitar amplifier with an audio input, it would be safe to plug it into my TV to hear?
It is a GTD15 Crate, and if it is safe How long can I leave it on, because I sometimes fall asleep while watching movies. Thank you!
This is certainly possible. The trick is to get the right kind of output signal of television. If you're lucky enough to have a TV that has a headset, you're in business. You only need a cable and appropriate adapters. Unofortunately, you will probably be quite disappointed with the sound. The guitar amplifier is designed to produce a good few frequencies high range, while the television tends to eliminate many of these. The tonal balance is peculiar, and the sound may seem natural and convincing. You can also hear a little hiss in the background of various types of distortion, but to touch anything and you can get it to work.
