Guitar Bar Chords C

What is a good guitar (reasonably) at a price that sounds like a Les Paul, but has a whammy bar?
Hi I am in the market to buy a new guitar power. I always liked the sound of a Les Paul. I play metal and rock mainly, but I'm interested to learn other styles, eventually, one day .... So I 'm wondering with all the guitars out there that Yahoo users would recommend for me? I also like playing in drop tunings (Drop B flat, Drop C, etc.) for the guitar would be good for that too. I am considering buying a string of seven but I fear the seventh string would get in the way of common chords like G, etc. Thank you! I'm looking for a guitar at $ 800 - $ 1200 Canadian or range of around $ 1000 ....
