Guitar Bending Lesson

Blues Guitar Help, please?
I love the post World War II Chicago blues electric - late 40s, early 50s. Does anyone have any easy entry understanding, to the point books or CDs / DVDs to learn the particular style on the guitar? Think Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, etc. Think beginner, too! I'm having my first guitar lesson tonight on Tuesday to 54 years, so I need all the help it can get. I have no interest in rock & roll "blues" (except for Stevie Ray Vaughn). Does not take into flames. Just click a note, fold it and hold it. Real traditional material.
Muddy Waters actually said that he knew nothing about "all the notes and chords and things, I just play what feels" Relax a little and relax. Guitar is the best thing in the world for anything that ailes you. The lead player in my band is 52, the bassist is 53 and I 41. It's all about the fun of it. best advice I can give is to take it slow and not get upset, is not as easy as it sounds. Trim the nails, stretch your arms and shoulders, always looking up, face the crowd, learn kittens light the fire without remorse, and turn this sucker up 11!
