guitar bending techniques

In this fast modern world, people rarely have time to make a proper meal, let alone dive into a 500-page book on the theory of the guitar. It is understandable, then, that most beginner guitarists around the local tab and play along with your favorite bands and their rapid solution source of learning. People are naturally pleased with what we know and love.

This in itself is not a negative thing, and should really be encouraged along time, as it is important to draw some creative ideas externally. However, many guitarists to take it too far, sacrificing any personal creative development, decided to become the next Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett.

Now, I'm not exactly a reverse snob when it comes to guitar, but I strongly believe in the talent unique, and we all have in us, somewhere.

There are two types of learning when it comes to guitar:

1) Being told that for play and how to play it

2) Knowing the game you can, and how you can play it

The need to distinguish clearly two.

When one listens to a song, or read a guide, they are essentially being told to play. There is no creativity potentially involved in this process whatsoever, as guitarist just "copy" what they see and hear, including the techniques used real (bends, hammer ons, slides, etc..) In fact, a guitarist is often congratulated all the more you can replicate your favorite songs as close to original as possible.

It's time to be honest - with time sufficient and in practice, anyone can learn to just play. If the score is written down, and you have an ear for music, you may have their heroes of the guitar, unless your individual style (let's get this in a minute). However, if you're objective is purely to reproduce as accurately as possible, where you fit into the creative expression of music?

You see, not shy away from creating your own music, part of the brain associated with this cognitive process is redundant, and becomes more and more difficult to actually apply this creative instinct as the form of ideas in his head.

Knowing what you can play, and how you can play it is about having knowledge of the specific reproductive techniques in its raw form, so then you can decide when and how to incorporate a certain type of corner, pull-off, vibrato, tapping sentence etc.

It's also about how to create and build chords and scale patterns based on any kind of phrasing you want to express. Specificities.

In end of the day, in my opinion, is much more rewarding to spend a week really getting to grips with the hammer on "technique, instead of passing two weeks of learning X guitar solo of the song X. If you arm yourself with enough knowledge of all the techniques of reproduction and theory foundation there out, you're ready to build soil and phrases as you want ... Of course, without any other guide to obstruct or distract you, you will free to explore the techniques of raw materials that you learned in the context of their own unique creativity.

So instead of "I must double sequence X over an entire step, "will be" what are my options to connect this note to the next note in sequence "- You can choose a curve, or you may feel the need to express themselves in a completely different way! Let's take the creative decisions based on the techniques of raw materials you are armed with!

Once you start to loosen up a little more in the deep end, you begin to pick theory, almost automatically, in its way. Without being told, you get to see the relationship between certain strings and fret positions on his guitar. You begin to expand out of its "boxed" scale because you want more breathing room to apply your own creativity. You finally begin to realize that there is no "right" or "reply" wrong when it comes to creative writing and guitar playing ... is only its expression vs. expression of someone.

People may say "I just want to learn a song that I have something on the guitar that all We know "- nothing wrong with that at all, but Do not, by any means occupying most of his playing time.

Spend more time to learn and explore their guitar fretboard. Discover the many options you have to do their scales sound more alive and dynamic. Learn how chords and scales work together so that you never have to blindly guess where plonk your fingers.

These are the foundations. The techniques of raw materials and the theory, they do not teach the game - they just give you the foundation on which to build their own musical expression. Master this concept, and you will never want to "parrot" Guitar Heroes again. Who knows, one day people will want to repeat you, and hope you give them some good advice;)

Enjoy it ... is your music.
