Electric Guitar Comparison! Please vote for one U think is better for the price?

I want a good guitar for metal / metalcore. I done some research and narrowed it down to two. First, the impressive Epiphone Explorer 1958 @ a whopping $ 499.95. The second the hardcore ESP LTD EX50 Electric Guitar Agathis Body Neck & Maple in a slim black @ $ 259.00. Give me your opinion about what you think I should start!

I think they are overpriced for Epiphone the quality you get. Good guitars, just not worth what they sell. Therefore, if these are the choices I'd say go for the ESP.
