Guitar Bodies Hollow
The wide range of guitar styles and performers
Music is a very individual expression, and almost every musician and interpreter for a style that is defined by them, and created for them. An instrument of the musician is much more a part of that individual expression as an artist, and this is so true if not so, especially when it comes to guitar. When you think of famous guitarists such as Jimmy Hendrix and Brian Welch, Eddie Van Halen, Fletcher Dragge, Angus Young King, BB each is known for his unique style and personal way to express themselves through music, but besides the fact that each of these artists has a style very individual, that is all yours, each artist has used a style of guitar which is quite different from others. For each of these well-known guitarists, there is a style guitar which helps to complement the way they perform, and the style, tone of voice that need, to help compliment their performance.

blues musicians like BB King has a totally different sound altogether, and blues is a style which is easily recognizable, and quite unlike any other. In order to create the soft tones of blues music, King uses a hollow body Gibson, the hollow chamber of guitar creating a resonance that naturally extends and smooths the played notes.
Although hollow body guitars use the natural amplification of the guitar body to soften somewhat the notes through a solid body creates notes not only sharper, but since the guitar is based entirely on external devices and electronics to amplify the notes, allows for a wide range of effects to be implemented. Angus Young is the lead guitarist for AC / DC and in contrast to BB King, who uses a hollow body Gibson, Young uses a Gibson solid body - and if you listen to both artists you can tell immediately the difference in tone.
