Guitar question: What is the best way to string a guitar string classical steel string?

I have a sound that is made of steel / Wrap strings of bronze, I think it was originally a guitar type mariachi. It has a banner on which is a folded sheet of metal with holes through which the steel ropes typical final ball pass. I know it's not the best thing to do, but I want to. The challenge is to string some nylon, without the metal plate just cut right through the ropes. I've seen a cut mahogany small makeshift bridge or something "extra" of sorts with holes in it would hold strings and still go through the piece of metal. Or is there a simple way to tie the ends of the nylon strings big enough so as to prevent them from slipping through the holes? Just make a big knot?

some companies do with the strings of nylon balls in them i wouldnt personally recommend that you do so. I put nylons on a steel I had, and it sounded horrible they do not resonate as they should in a classic body style

Scoring such a thorough original is no easy task, but composer/musician Benoi...
