What ohms and watts average with respect to the cabinets Low?

idiots guide please I'm looking to buy a 4x10 cab too can someone explein about peak and RMS values thanks! Also can someone explein about peak and RMS values thanks!

First off, are the watts of power the car. You want this game to the watt rating of your amp or so. If you have a 300W bass amp, you want a base cabinet 300w. Most people will say get a bigger one - I say the time that the taxi can handle what your amplifier can spit, you're good. Ie unless you just upgraded your amp, right? =) Is an indication Ohms impedance. It is a complicated topic, but it's kind've like resistance on how easy it is for current to flow from point A to point B. The lower the impedance, which is easier for the flow of current. The important thing to know about impedance is that you want to match it to the amplifier. If your amp has an 8 ohm out and your taxi has an 8 ohm connector, which is the way to go. Similarly, 16 ohm to 16 ohm, etc. Mismatches should be avoided, but depending on the amplifier may be able to connect an amplifier in a taxi from a rank higher impedance - For example, some amps do not mind being connected from one ohm to 8 ohm cab for a 16. See the manual or the first Manufactuer! You certainly do not want go down in impedance - this is bad, since the amplifier will want to put out twice (or more) in progress, and is likely to put a tremendous amount stress on it. In going from 8 ohms to 4 ohms, etc! I think it's the basics. Heavy taxis are usually of better quality GAC lighter, but you do not want break your back either, so consider the weight factor. 10 of 12 are punchier, but we have too low. Good luck! EDIT: Ah, yes, peak and RMS. RMS is the ability of the amplifier - is the most reasonable, you should expect from a speaker or amp or whatever. It is the absolute peak. Running the product in full-on peak power will destroy it very quickly. Watch out for mfg's advertising peak power (300W stereo! ... Peak), because the RMS is much smaller - One, usually for a bit (150W or less, in this case). Car stereos are the worst for this, but be careful in general. Saul
