Guitar Cabinets Ohms
If I have a guitar amplifier that outputs 16 ohms, I can use an 8 ohm cabinet?
What if I connect a cable into the output of second that will reduce to 8 ohms so it will work?
Not if the amplifier output is 16 ohm, the load should be 16 ohms or greater. If the load is less than 16 ohms, it can work for a short time, but the amp will get hot and can burn. Short circuit.
