The Catholic Abodom is a KG, primary and JSS school that provides education for children ages 4 to 16. The school offers the children of the area with Abodum a solid education that helps students prepare for Senior Secondary School. In addition, the school also has several social programs that are implemented throughout community. These social programs include:
HIV / AIDS education, community clean and, periodically, they plant trees in town.Volunteers are needed at this school to teach and help prepare activities for children before and after school.
The school is understaffed and really need additional help in all areas. Not only the help of volunteers beneficial, but the staff and students are very intersted in learning about other peoples and cultures around the world.
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 or above with minimum education of high school. This position does not need volunteers in August and Sea Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement: --

Volunteers can help by doing the following tasks: --
Volunteers can participate in a number of different activities. For hours the volunteers the school can prepare lesson plans, teach English, math, science or music lessons. They also have the opportunity to create lunch or extra-curricular activities. Volunteers also have the opportunity to help prepare lesson plans, carry out lunch and music lessons. Other potential jobs include: sports training, the creation of games or activities, guidance and assistance with maintenance work.
