guitar chords take it easy
As you play the intro to The Eagles "Take it easy"?

Hey, I'm relatively new to the guitar, and I began to learn some basic chords and one of the songs I've done is take it easy eagles. However, I really do not understand how the introduction is played. Says on my sheet as: GC / G Am7 / G GC / G Am7 / GO to make those bars indicate exactly? I tried to make like half of a regular measure, but not seemed right. Thanks in advance.

The bar indicates a bass note. Therefore, C / G is a C with a low G. The Am7 / G Am7 is one with a low G note added.
