A key is full of possibilities for a guitarist. Many exciting chords can be created by moving a finger or sliding the guitar chord between the frets. Let's create our first guitar progression ..

We will start with the most common major chord:

A: 0 / 5 2 / 4 2 / 3 2 / 2 0 / 1

What the bars and numbers mean? 2 / 4 means, press the second fret on string four. In other words, fret / string

Now, when you know how this notation tab works we will add another guitar chord to A-major and make a little progress.

We can call this A11:

0 / 5 0 / 4 0 / 3 0 / 2 0 / 1

As you can see a rope that is very easy to play. Let us now build a small progression that can be used as an introduction to a song in A-Major:

Our guitar next progression will start with A-minor chord in its most common:
