What household items could be used to clean a guitar and your fretboard?
I'm re-stringing a couple of my guitars and I realized that I'm out of all cleaning supplies kit on my guitar restoration. Are there any household items that I could use to clean them? The fretboards are really dirty in both (Epiphone G-400 (SG style) and a Silvertone Paul Stanley Signature). I heard lemon juice works .. true? I also heard that it is safe to use wool steel on the frets themselves. Am concerned mainly the frets / fretboard. Rubbing alcohol (on the fretboard) worked great. I did nothing to damage and with a little force got it nice and clean
you should use a cloth and some alcohol and it will stink, but it will clean it
