Guitar Inlay: beautiful and useful
There are many reasons people choose to learn to play guitar instead of another instrument. You may have to do with a preference by country music than most orchestras. They may be attracted to the potential volume of the electric guitar or the portability of its acoustic cousin. Or maybe they just think guitars look cool. Yes, ever since it became "sexy" via the genre of rock and roll (thank you Elvis Presley), guitars have a certain element of "coolness" that is simply unattainable with many other instruments. Moreover, the guitars have a fair amount of potential when it comes to visuals, or inlay. That decoration is set into the wood surface of the appliance and can be located almost anywhere, including the arm, headstock and around the hole of sound.
Us recent years, simple guitar cover is often done in plastic. In some low cost guitars, inlay inlay is not really at all, is simply painted designs. However, the ancient instruments and modern high quality are often inlaid with mother of pearl, abalone, ivory, wood color or other exotic and beautiful materials. Often, more high-end guitars have more elaborate decorative inlay schemes. In such cases, the inlay can cover the sides and back of instrument, beyond the area around the hole of sound. Limited edition and custom-made guitars, the inlay can cover the entire guitar. These guitars are often works of visual art in its own right, besides being of high quality musical instruments.
