How do I wire a 1 / 4 inch Mono Jack to a distortion pedal?

I'm making a guitar pedal from scratch and I need to connect the 2 female audio jacks. They have 4 legs / pins each and I have no idea how to wire them. The diagram shows the output jack connected to a pot LOG 100K, but I have no idea which leg or how. the input jack is shown to be connected to a 1 leg 10nF capacitor. If you have suggestions and you need to see pictures please email me at am_2302@live.com.au and I will send the circuit diagram. Thank you very much

It is very easy to figure out what pin to switch input and output. You will need an ohmmeter. Get a reservation 1 / 4 inch cable and connect it to the female 1 / 4 inch Jack you intend to use the pedal. Now put a connection of the ohmmeter in the point across that the power 1 / 4. Take the lead other parts of the ohmmeter and find the pin that gives zero ohms. This pin is the center pin or signal the pin and the pin is to be connected to the resistance for both entry and exit. Now take the ohmmeter and connect it to the shaft on the power 1 / 4 inch - Then find the pin on the floor. Pin that will be the ground for the input and output connectors. Very easy.
