Drop tunings on a guitar.?
If I want to tune my electric guitar to drop d, as I use on tuning? would be the 7th fret the low E is the same as the A string? If not, what would fret. What I have to do to start to fall C in just the low E string. what would have to fret?
Yes - the 7th fret on the string 6 is A, the same as the sequence of 5 open in Drop D tuning. Better yet is to pull a harmonic on the 12th fret 6th string and compare it with the sequence of 4 - that should be the same note (D). If you want to drop the rope 6 to C, then the 9th fret on the string will be 6 A.
