The band's lead singer Dave Grohl got his start in the music industry as the drummer for Nirvana, but he served as the basis for the Foo Fighters in 1995 after the death of Kurt Cobain. The Foo Fighters made their music drawing from the pieces of music of Nirvana, the rock and the influence of heavy guitar, and with the help Bassist Nate Mendel, drummer William Goldsmith (both ex-Sunny Day Real Estate) and guitarist Pat Smear, the Foo Fighters began his rise to fame in the late 90 and its nickname as a force of World War II secret that UFOs searched.
Dave Grohl and his newly assembled band of rock began his career with the famous debut album in 1995, just turning on the radio-ready single "This Is a Call". The Foo Fighters gained momentum from there, eventually scoring a certification of platinum with Foo Fighters and continue to heat the charts with albums like 1997's The Color and the Shape, 1999 There Is Nothing Left to Lose and One by One 2002 The Foo Fighters kept getting more and more popular with each album released, and the beginning of the 2000 Grammy started pouring like a steady stream.
