guitar eddy

The artist electric guitar or electric guitar is the artist? I suspect that the answer to that question vary widely depending on who you asked. A manufacturer like Gibson, Fender, Yamaha or would probably answer that one artist can only be as good as its instrument. But, a guitarist, while the probability of recognizing the importance of a good guitar, would probably want to take the lion's share of credit for himself. This is the "chicken and egg" The issue of world Music and one that we will probably never know the answer. Fortunately, even without knowing it, we can still enjoy the outrageous talent that guitarists have shown throughout the decades.

Keith Richards. My favorite quote about this gentleman comes from 2002 comic Robin Williams Live on Broadway performance of "I know there is a cure for bioterrorism rule over us. I know there is one, and it is within Keith Richards, I know that. He is the only man on the planet who can go 'Anthrax? (sniff) Alriiiight! "Sum it, do not you think? Mr. Richard, Rolling Stones guitarist, is a wonderful example of rock and roll electric guitar player. He is rebellious, scandalous, filthy rich and still going strong.

Eddie Van Halen. A poster child for the era of big hair 80's, this man still is recognized thirty years after the launch of the first album of his band, which was titled "Van Halen". Hey, if the band and the album are named after you, that kind of says it all. Van Halen did not confine his talents to his own band either, and he contributed a guitar solo to the song of another icon the 80's. The icon was Michael Jackson and Beat It music was no wonder that this guy is still (in) famous.

Carlos Augusto Alves Santana. No, I did not know he had four names, either, to me it will always be "Santana". This gentleman first became famous over forty years ago and he is showing no signs of slowing down. His genres include rock, blues, salsa and jazz fusion. His music has experienced a resurgence in popularity over the last decade and in 2003, Rolling Stone named Santana number 15 on its list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time. Talk about getting seal of approval in the industry.

Jimi Hendrix. There probably never was an electric guitarist who most strongly influenced the industry or a more ample embedded in a generation. He has, posthumously, was introduced in both the U.S. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. He has a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, a statue on the streets of his hometown, Seattle, Washington, and an eternal place in the annals not only of American music, but American history. A great artist and a brilliant innovator, Rolling Stone named number one in its 2003 list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He remains one of the most famous artists who ever lived.
