What are some organizations that I can donate a broken electric guitar?
Hi all, I have an electric guitar just sitting in my closet that I never play more and I'm looking for an organization (preferably one that the benefits of music education or children) to donate to him. Its broken, I think I need a few screws to hold the new pick ups in the area or something (I'm not exactly sure how I'm not the one that broke), but that should not be a guitar in perfect condition. I did a Google search, but the organizations I found were looking for money, not real instruments. Any ideas?
If you know any local musicians, the players (guitar?) That he or she might know of a young aspiring want to learn how to play the guitar, but just do not have the money to buy one. And, he or she may even be able to repair the guitar too. How about "Big Brothers Big Sisters"? Surely they would accept the guitar and make sure it ends up in the hands of a young desire to learn.
