Guitar Learning Software / Chords?

I'm an old Rock n Roller (I'm 48) who wants to start playing again. I have not played in about 18 years but I still remember some of the old songs and I still have most of my guitar gear (1979 Les Paul). But now I'm handed in my left ear and not goof that the hearing in right ear. And that's my problem, because I'm self-taught and learned to play by ear. So what would be a good software or guitar chord Freeware software or learning in general. I think I'll have to use guide to learn more music because of my hearing loss. What are the newer pedals guitar. Should I upgrade? I still have my old boss, DoD and MXR pedals from the early 80s. My niece was playing for 1 1 / 2 years and I want her and I be able to learn and play together. Thank you.

I used to use http://www.harmony-central.com/ for the guides. It seems that they do not host more guides, but you maybe able to get some useful things from there.
