guitar electronics projects
Please suggest a simple experiment I can do a project related to sound?

using a breadboard and easy to find electronic materials, how can I make a circuit? that accepts input, probably from a guitar (I think it is the simplest), then perhaps distorts the sound output? if possible, without buttons and switches, however, I want him to be really simple. or a switch to do so. just like an ordinary LED connected to a resistor and a 9v battery. I think capacitors and diodes are used? hmm if you have links to the schematics, then it will be very helpful I am a new student of electronics and I explore more about these, answers are appreciated, thanks!

This site has lots of electronic kits, about $ 15 http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/complete.htm more
