You can sand the paint layer and when you get to FullerPlast stop there. Fullerplast soaks into the wood and creates a seal that prevents following coats of immersion in the wood like a sponge. This means spraying the color coats is easier and the coatings can be applied thinner material (savings, money and dry weather). Fullerplast dry in 15 minutes and was then painted on the spot. As for you, you use what you paint and when finished, apply some polyester in light coats to give a glossy finish. Use a good palm sander used available for a reasonable price (about U.S. $ 15-20).
