How do I upgrade a Playstation 3 from a flash drive?
Lately, my PS3 has been giving me all kinds of problems such as error messages and freezing. I contacted Sony direct line of customer service, and that the person on the line could imagine, I had to either upgrade my system or can post it for repair (probably cleaning up all the game saves as well). Not having a proper internet connection to connect the PS3 online, I decided to save the update to a USB flash drive, and send it to the system this way. Now, the system is not even recognize the flash drive. Would I buy a compatible one (the brand is a PNY Attache, which according to another person answered the question, is compatible), or is my system all completely done for? Also, does anyone know that particular game saves not allow the copy? I wanted to at least save my data from Guitar Hero World Tour, but when trying the Copy option, give me a shout to "not allow copying.
