Guitar Flatpicking
Any full-on bluegrass / flatpicking / folk guitar fans out there?
Hi, I'm looking for recommendations of artists and albums I should listen to the genres above. I love all things as fast banjo mandolin and fiddle want more! I'm already up to speed on The Dillards, Earl Scruggs, John Martyn, Bert Jansch and so there are no rocks I'm missing?
As far as bluegrass GREAT fast, do not forget to check any Johnson Mountain Boys. As guitarists, I'm sure now you are probably familiar with Doc Watson and Tony Rice. In addition, Dan Tamenski, Eddie Pennington, Maybelle Carter, and a virtual unknown in the great scene known as Jim Lloyd. The banjo fast, do not forget to look at Sammy Shelor, Ben Eldridge, Starling Abernathy and John Barry. For mandolin, John Duffy, Don Rigsby, Lou Reid and Doyle Lawson. If you're looking for some incredible guitar, which happens to be Irish, be sure to look for John Doyle.
