You are using your thumb to fret bass notes on a guitar a careless habit?
I'm learning "I Cross My Heart" and it's all finger picking. The guy in the video some of the frets bass notes with your thumb. I'm wondering if this will take me to have a position of the left hand sloppy guitar.
well ... both SRV and Jimi Hendrix both used to break your thumb around the neck of his guitar when playing ... common in his guitar blues ... much as the low is concerned .. It may not look all that pretty, but if he gets the job done, then it works .... I do sometimes if I'm playing only on my lower string to givge my wrist a break
