How can I make guitar sound like Slayer in mt Raining Blood?
have a Fender Squier Bullet (Start) and I have a G-DEC Junior Amp. My fave band is killer and I've trying to play the song Raining Blood. Unfortunately, my guitar sounds nothing like it. Is there anyone who knows what I should put the settings in my amp? GAIN-0, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 VOLUME-0, 1,2,3,4,5, 6,7,8,9,10 TONE-0, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 AMP SELECT-jazz, ACOUST, METAL, METAL, Hot Rod, Hot Rod, british, british, British, British, Blackface, Blackface, Blackface, Tweed, TWEED FX SELECT X4-REVERB, DELAY X3, BYPASS, TREMOLO X2, FLANGE X2, X4 CHORUS all the rest are for metronome So I did not bother to put them down.
to tell the truth cold, hard .. you probably will have a new guitar. Preferebly humbucker pickups with a high income. You may want to check out Jackson or ESP guitars for some pretty heavy. Slayer, because as you know is a thrash / death metal band, and most of the time they play hard. When you get a new guitar, its recommended that you first try, but what you're looking for are mainly the sound and output of the pickups, and how it fits your style of play. Other then that the only other option I could think of to buy a distortion pedal. You may want to try a BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone. This distortion has a very sweet and really is a powerful accelerator. It would cost about $ 100 instead of spending $ 600 + on a decent guitar. Therefore, the options are: a new guitar or the pedal Anyway, good luck to try to play as Slayer
