Guitar Geek

Need expert advice or modern sound geeks guitar effect ...?
I need to know the effect of the particular guitar or amp is being used in intros of "For a Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic" and "That's What You Get" out of the 2007 album of Paramore, Riot! The fact that I'm talking is the same for both issues and is being used on the guitar. For me, it sounds almost like some kind of statement octovian shifter pedal or a tube screamer ibanez maybe.
It's a lot of magic and super-dubbing studio. The eighth-like sound you're hearing is probably a single band with play the guitar riff in octaves, which is a very common thing to do these days. As to what the effects / amp the player is using is very difficult to say. There definitely distortion, but I'm sure is not a Tube Screamer. It will be almost impossible to recreate the tone of a live show. I guarantee that the band sounds Nowhere near, live, for what they sound like in the studio.
