Guitar Grounding Wire

Guitar HUM Ground Start, only the 2nd position of the switch?
Guitar HUM Ground Start, only the 2nd position switch? Please, not only as responses to items such as, "take it to a repair guy." Looking for someone who knows something about the wiring. I took the shield to see the marquee pickup, when I replace it, there was an awful buzz at all, but the position 2 from the top. What is more likely? Thx
you should have disconnected the ground wire that leads to the tremolo claw. This wire is essential for proper grounding and is usually soldered on the back of one of the pots and the claw. It is very easy to accidentally turn off this wire if you remove the pick guard. Remember that there is a wire that ran from the electronics down the guitar? that was it. Either that or you messed up the wiring in the land taken out somehow. Of Either way you should take it to your local music store and let them fix it for you
