To adjust the rod, the nut on the stem must be loosened or tightened, depending on what you are wanting to do.

When you adjust the height of the saddle, you need to do it after you have adjusted the height sequence of a walnut. You can actually measure the distance between the top of the twelfth fret, all the way to the bottom of the sixth string. It's really very simple. If you are not sure about the distance, breaking their old ruler, check it out, make sure the distance is correct. There are always other methods that can actually be used to measure the distance between the top of the twelfth fret to the bottom of the sixth string. It all depends on how you prefer to do this sort of thing on your guitar.

If you very unsure about how to properly make all necessary adjustments on your guitar, then you should consider, possibly leading to a guitar or a specialist very experienced friend and let them guide you through these steps correctly or simply pay them to make any necessary adjustments on your guitar from here out.
