What tastes better,,, an apple or an orange? This question can not be answered, you do not can compare. Some persons have a special talent and love of classic, they are very organized and disciplined in their practice, and they can play pieces conservatory very well, but are scared to death to improvise chords and "jazz" Other people are exactly the opposite. they do not have the patience to regurgitate details maticulous the conservatory classic says you should play, but that the person enjoys playing jazz so much that they become masters of improvisation on the changes in jazz. more easy for one, may be impossible for the other. I know this much experience at first hand. They are 2 completely different worlds that lend themselves to different types of people based on several factors that I mentioned. personal taste, culture, bringing it up, a wide range of talents ... Both disciplines require much patience and work. Both have similarities, and both have many different thought processes. You absolutely can not say one is more difficult than the other, because will vary both on an individual basis.
