Many things that you learn to play country guitar licks can be used to spice up solos in other genres. You will now learn to play some useful country licks the key A. Some easy, some a little strange, but nice!

You now play this descending scale. This will require that you replace the hammer-ons with pull-offs symbolized the same way between the AP notes. It will look like this:

My intention with these licks are you going to learn them the heart, as soon as possible. Play a couple of notes or so at a time until you know the color and add a couple more notes. The rating does not is important. It is only a means to convey the lick.
Once you know the lick by heart, you can experiment with it and change it you like.
Country guitar licks are often played in a way that creates a rapid succession of notes using a minimum of energy. Ie achieved through the following means:
1. Using a pick and two fingers or more using just the thumb perhaps with a pick.
2. Using both ropes open chords or playing together as possible.
3. Using slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs and bends course.
There is a risk with this kind of licks. The final goal is, of course, to play them fast and fluid, creating this beautiful cascade of notes that you can hear a good country guitarist. To achieve this goal you really have to practice these licks slowly using as little tension as possible as you play.
If you are the kind of person who wants learn things fast I think you have to remember that the fastest way to learn to play fast is to play slowly. It's as easy as that.
