IS LOW ACTION GUITAR considered cheating in some way?
I used to think it was, but metal and throwing everything that you simply can not practicing on a guitar, a lot of action, much less play it without getting tired, and that can not be when you al know the pros are pampered with effect Custom guitars and low right action?
An action is not low form of cheating. But you are cheating in the sense that you make your left hand does not work anymore with hammer-ons, pull-offs without the need to pick them up. I really can not pull-off notes for 5 string with a single shot to pick and pretty hard to differentiate if they are chosen or not. I call it cheating, because you are playing more notes in legato-fashion, then you are really picking up. Who cares. I'm lazy and prefer to let my left hand do the work while I smoke ... LOL After mastering the pull-offs and Hammer-ons, doing what you demand less effort on your right hand, but in reality, the best technique to be able to do it perfectly. That said, you are referring to a player gutiar that can take all your notes without the use of pull-off, etc. .. versus a cheating using features less and pull-off to replace your collection. This is considered a technical as finger-tapping where you hit a note and LEF left hand to 4 or 5 note hammer-on and pull-offs.
Advice on buzzing frets/high action and assosiated trussrod adjustment.
