Guitar Humbuckers
what is better a guitar with humbuckers and single coils or a guitar with humbuckers coil tapped?
I have a guitar with humbuckers and a guitar with single coil pick ups, the game I is determined by a type of music I'm playing. I like the sound of humbuckers for blues and metal and some types of rock, but I like the tone of single coils ska and jazz and rock surfer. I was wondering if it is better to get a guitar with a HSS configuration or a guitar with humbuckers coil utilized. what is the best and why?
Just a word of advice that can help .... humbuckers can definitely sound good, but ... They also have a tendency to feed back more than you want .. If you play a lot of songs with stops and rests in itself. You can still get feedback from single coils, but sound (to me) seems much cleaner and easier to control. I hotrails Seymour Duncan in the neck and middle and a JB jr. the bridge on a more vintage esp. They are supposed to give you some of the benefits of the humbucker, with the advantage of cleanlyness single coil. The best of both worlds!
