How should I store my Taylor Guitar?

I picked up a used Taylor 200 series yesterday and it came with one thing on the humidity. I live in Ithaca New York, where it is not likely to become real dry and I have a hard shell case that I'll be keeping it away from the windows closed. I need to do anything else for it or if these precautions sufficient? Thank you.

You're on the right and attitude about caring for your guitar. If you are in Ithaca or Tucson, make sure your humidity is controlled. I thought my Gretsch electric everything was fine in his case, while living in Tucson, but behold, when I opened the case one day to prepare for a session, I removed the scratch pad back and orange paint came with it, producing a sound sick. I smoothed the edges using Polish boat, but the memory is there, always monitor the humidity in your case. Remove from your guitar case for cleaning or playing is the only time. Do not leave the guitar in a corner to make the room look attractive because the dust and the kids attack.
