Guitar Idol Winners
Hollywood Week this season of American Idol has given us some surprises. Unlike before, each of the 164 finalists were given the opportunity to choose to sing with or without instrument. If they have the talent, they can pick up the guitar or piano. There was no group of competitors at this time. And second chances are offered. After of their initial songs, the non-approved participants were invited to sing a cappella, and the judges chose one of them and asked them to move to the finals, where they compete with winners from previous rounds. In the last round, all candidates were invited to sing with a band and backing vocals. Until finally judges narrowed down their list of 50 candidates.
As always, it is impossible to please everyone. New format of Hollywood week had some reactions good and some bad. On the one hand, viewers found the episode less exciting than the previous week in Hollywood. But, in contrast, more talents were discovered and exposed how many chances were given to the competitors.
Among the scenes lost by avid fans are trio performances, the struggle of a person as he tries squeeze in a group, the endless arguments late at night and all the animals that used to be. Other viewers found the episode really boring. But the new format really worked for some of the participants.
Brooke White rose above the others after displaying their skills in playing the keyboards. The judges were clearly impressed with their performance. Josiah Leming also won the judges approval. This man, who lives in his car and sings with a British accent, made a delivery of Song Mika's "Grace Kelly" and everyone immediately impressed, earning him a place in the top 50.
In the next episode of American Idol, the judges will choose 24 semi-finalists from 50 candidates. To know who will and will not do it, keep watching the series of hit talent.
