Guitar Improvisation Scales
Improvised guitar?
I'm a guitarist too good for my age. (11). I can play Master of Puppets, Battery, Search and Destroy, and many other Metal Music. I have a problem. Imprvisation. How? scale wise all I know is the pentatonic and major. I can only play the scale, with some slides and hammer-0ons and its good? What do I do? How can I learn new scales? Please help!
Hiya. improvisation comes with knowing the notes, without having to play them and that comes with practice, patience and time. you're doing great if you're playing metallica. This is the kind of thing that I learned about. There are a couple of sites online. type scales, chords and you should get a million calls. You are anxious and that will get you anywhere. Learn everything and nothing, because it all helps to know the notes. Another cool band I was playing the Pink Floyd. Its amazing to dicipline. Not metal, but is the same scale. all help.
